her membership card firmly at the back of her wallet she’s fallen
head over heels in love with Jeremy Corbyn. If only everyone else
agreed.
Following the success of her first show, Burning Books, Jess
returns with a rousing, lyrical and humorous look at modern

Both the
Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars are coming in to the
final 2019 NFL London Game off a win in Week 8 and, they will both
be wanting to hold on to their winning streak this Sunday for their
game at Wembley Stadium.
While the Jaguars had a convincing win over the Jets last week, the
Texans managed to snatch victory from the Oakland Raiders in the
final quarter of the game. With the recent loss of the Texans
Defensive End J.J. Watt and the Jaguars 0-3 in their last three
meetings with the Texans, this one is too close to call and,
definitely one not to be missed!

What’s
up New York,
Happy November! To
kick off the first day of a new month, we’ve prepared a special weekend guide
for you. Check out the fun
activities in this weekend’s guide shifting us out of October spooks
and into new November thrills. 🎨🏙
Foie gras has been
considered a food of stature and sophistication for a while now. That is
changing thanks to lawmakers and their proposed
ban of fatty duck liver in NYC. 🗽🦆
|
Get Your Spirits High
The
overlap between October and November energy can be a little weird, this is
why our transitional weekend guide keeps a little Halloween energy around.
Enjoy a last-minute spook at a nighttime tour or twirl at a costume
encouraged ball.
There are also soothing
events involving art, meditation, mindfulness, and films! Reserve your
tickets ASAP and make the weekend one to remember.
|
Artists Showcase
The
Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art lets you meet a curated selection of
over 130 independent artists and browse thousands of pieces to suit every
budget under one roof.
There are also
unique immersive experiences and live DJ sets, event tours, and live art
activations to have you fully entertained. Throughout the weekend enjoy
complimentary gin cocktails courtesy of BOMBAY SAPPHIRE.
Use our link for a
50% discount automatically applied.
|
Cruel Food Ban
Since
diners have learned more about the origins of the dish considered indulgent,
animal rights activists have called for its removal from menus. Foie gras,
otherwise known as enlarged or fatty liver, obviously puts its host in
danger.
To produce the
delicacy, an animal is force-fed or fed a high-fat diet, engorging its liver.
Needless to say, most aren’t interested in keeping this dish around.
|
Protecting Our Stallions
After
a long fight against carriage drawn horses in NYC, lawmakers are listening.
In recent weeks, the passing of the PACT Act, Macy's 2021 fur ban and more.
Along with that
progress, NYC's carriage horses are soon to receive some humane protection.
Thanks to 22 council members, the Carriage Horse Heat Relief Bill has been
sponsored. When passed, the carriage horses would be entitled to rest,
shelter from the heat and removal from streets that could reach 125 degrees
in summer.
|
Helicopters Present Sky Hazard
If
you were excited about the latest offer from Uber in recent months, a
helicopter on demand, don't get ahead of yourself. NYC lawmakers are pushing
forth a bill that would protect our skies from helicopters operating for leisure.
Tourists and
native New Yorkers hoping to see the city from the sky might not get what
they hope if the law passes. Following safety concerns after crashing
helicopters, The Improving Helicopter Safety Act of 2019 is aimed at
improving airway congestion and preventing any further accidents.
