Not sure what to do this weekend? Here are a few ideas for those of my followers who live in Leeds, London and New York:
|
|
In a digital world, having the
opportunity to connect face-to-face with like-minded individuals can be
somewhat of a rarity. The more you attend events, the more you meet people
face to face, the more you expand your network and the more you position
yourself for opportunities. You never know who you will meet at the next
event and for that reason alone, you need to go to as many as possible.
Convinced? Check out these upcoming events near you! |

Indulge in a 2-hour
champagne bottomless brunch, join an epic cycle across Europe for a great
cause and break out of an escape room to find a career in tech...
|
|
|
|
|
|
With so many openings in Leeds lately, you're sure to have missed
a few, but don't worry because we've got your back. From all-you-can-eat
Japanese to fried chicken, we've rounded up five of the most exciting new
arrivals in the city. Which one will you try first?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Scrummy sandwiches, delicious desserts and freshly baked scones – yes
please! But wait, it gets better because this afternoon tea comes
with bottomless champagne, all for just £29.95. You'll have to be
quick though, this tasty deal must end on 1st June 2019.
|
|
|
Believe it or not, the skills you use to break out of
an escape room are the very same ones you'd use in the
tech industry. So we've combined the two – you can make your escape and
then find out how to get into tech with three talks from industry
experts.

Burley has a lot going for it! It's cool, it's quirky and it's got
oodles of surprises in store, hell, even the borders will catch you
unawares. But once you've worked out where it starts and where it
ends, you'll be treated to scrumptious food, unlikely adventures and
those famous vegan donuts.

Walking boots at the ready!
|
|
Are you up for a challenge? Join Leeds Cares for an incredible
cycling trip that crosses five countries over 8 unforgettable days.
It's a staggering 650 miles in total and it's all for a great cause,
so why not give it a go?

Nothing beats a day at the beach, especially when no one even
knows it's there, so next time you're planning a trip to the coast, try
one of these secret escapes. From hidden coves to little known shores,
you can discover a whole new side of the Yorkshire coast.
|
|
From curries to noodles, you can try this trio of Thai eateries
without breaking the bank.
|
|
|
You'll find a splendid array of Mexican restaurants in Leeds, but
which should you try first? From tacos to burritos, nachos and
enchiladas, you can tuck into street food, enjoy a sit-down meal or
indulge in a dose of fast food for delicious Mexican eats on-the-go.

There’s
nothing quite like seeing a brilliant movie on a big screen. If
it’s independent cinemas with colourful histories, design
quirks, luxe features and plenty of character that float your
boat, you’re in luck. The capital is blessed with a flourishing
indie picture house scene, and we’ve scouted out 15 of the best
independent cinemas in London.

Charles
Biederman’s meteoric career as an abstract painter in the 1930s saw him
exhibiting alongside Alexander Calder and Charles Green Shaw, before he broke
with painting entirely around 1940 in favor of a long and prolific career as
a sculptor.
Menconi +
Schoelkopf presents a group of extraordinary canvases from this brief and
powerful period as a painter, along with signal early examples of his
wall-relief sculpture.

Short Story Selection
We
could never imagine a life without our technology, as it has become an innate
part of everything society does. If all the technology was fried by the sun,
what would our society look like? How would it change?
In this world,
living away from the sun is a somewhat necessity, and crimes are a little
different. When two siblings father is accused of a crime, the son becomes an
integral part of his punishment, so how can they help?

Whether
you're a native New Yorker or just recently moved here from another city,
state, or country, there's one time-tested tradition that every New Yorker
knows all too well: brunch. It is the quintessential New York City weekend
extravaganza.
Hence, the wildly
successful and sold-out interactive food experience 'Make Pizza Drink Wine'
(now in two locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan) has officially spawned
its very own Sunday brunch rendition in Queens, 'Make Pizza Drink Bubbly:
Long Island City'.
|
👨🍳 🍷
Gain
hands-on experience from Keste's owner Mr. Caporuscio and his staff, and
you’ll also enjoy complimentary glasses of house red and white wines for the
afternoon while learning first-hand about fresh mozzarella from this infamous
dairy farmer turned Neapolitan pizza-maker.
