Short Story Selection
Henry Adams who has a prosperous and promising job as a clerk in a mining-broker's office in San Francisco, who one day went sailing and found himself adrift at sea headed for eventual doom, until he was rescued by a brig bound to London, which saved him and exacted uncompensated rigorous labor for the trouble of rescuing him.
They set him ashore in London with rags on his back and one dollar in his pocket, where, 48 hours later, hungry and desperate, he spied a pear cast carelessly aside in the road gutter that tempted his empty stomach. While trying to retrieve the succulent and simultaneously avoid the censure of witnessing eyes, he was called by two old men into a spacious, elegantly appointed and sumptuous house where, before the ample remains of a delicious meal that he couldn't partake of, the two old men offered Henry an envelope and a mysterious and unexplained task.

You probably heard the news already, but starting next Wednesday, the hottest interactive food experience in New York City begins its weekly residency at Fornino in Greenpoint, Brooklyn
For two hours, you’ll leave your inhibitions at the door and become a downright integral part of this culinary adventure. That’s right, if you’re totally over sitting down at another neighborhood pizza joint and simply stuffing your face (and tummy!) into a carb-induced food coma, listen up-- because this is not just another cooking class; it's way more than that. This is an artisanal food experience in an abundantly social setting, unlike anything you’ve ever seen or heard about before.
Before getting schooled by Michael Ayoub’s masterful culinary skills and creative talents, you’ll get to enjoy shared appetizers of Italian chickpeas with house-made focaccia bread and wood-fired crostini topped with ricotta and honey. Then, you’ll get to choose between making your very own traditional margherita (topped with tomato, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, parmesan), Calabrese (tomato, mozzarella, sopressata piccante, parmesan), or funghi misti (mozzarella, caciocavallo, mixed mushroom, white truffle oil) pies.
Finally, last but definitely not least, a self-serving of homemade tiramisu sends everyone home happy-- and just lil’ bit tipsy (the latter, of course, is compliments of the bottomless red and white wine served throughout the two-hour experience). Getting hungry yet or what? Grab your tickets here!
