6 Things to Do This Weekend

Afternoon Teas, Cookery Courses, Sustainable Shopping & More

Before you fill up your weekend diary, scroll on for our recommendations of the 3 best things to do in London and the 3 best things to do in the UK beyond this weekend.

Plus, here's something that doesn't require a particular location: have a listen to our interiors podcast House Guest. This week's guests: Nicola and Chris of Cox London.

Went with one of our suggestions? Had a blast? Tell us about it by tagging us on
Instagram and Facebook!

LONDON

Finger sandwiches + milky tea = happy kids + happy parents. Treat your little ones to a special outing at one of London’s finest venues for afternoon tea. Whether its science-themed, literary-themed or just plain yummy, for an activity everyone in the family can enjoy, book one of London’s best children’s afternoon teas that will entertain, engage and fill up your little ones.

Ongoing - but we recommend booking in this Sunday to wave goodbye to half term with a finger sandwich in one hand and a teacup in the other.

...at The Maiyet Collective Pop-Up at Harvey Nichols. The Maiyet Collective, a curated collection of approx. 50 beautiful and sustainable luxury brands, will be on Harvey Nichols' 5th floor with a shoppable pop-up of the positive and ethical brands they support and champion, from homeware to fashion, accessories to jewellery. Plus, after you've shopped till you've (nearly) dropped, try the Harvey Nichols Winter Dining Menu.

Michael Werner Gallery, New York is pleased to present Jörg Immendorff: Questions from a Painter Who Reads, opening 21 February.
This exhibition of paintings is a visual history of one of the most important artists to emerge from post-war Germany and spans four decades of the artist’s career from 1974 to 2007.
Short Story Selection
Set in the steampunk world of New York’s sixth borough Lytton, moving pictures and advanced machines have started to worry the commonplace residents.
Two young inventors try to find their way in this seemingly British version of New York.
This story questions both the nature of machines as well as the nature of the self. How do humans create machines with minds, and why does it keep occurring?

Short Story Selection
Author Peter S. Beagle spins a wonderful tale set in historic China, a culture that has inspired many of his writings. The tale follows Kao Yu, a highly respected judge who must travel to a small village to pass sentences that his former teacher is unable to due to an illness.
Normally a judge of his status would not go, but as a favor, he hears out these petty disputes and theft charges. One such pickpocket catches his eye, and he becomes restless with love. His heart begins to change, noticed by his associates when he is no longer visited by the fabled Chinese unicorn, the chi-lin.
Eat Your Heart Out
Cuffing season has come and gone, and the finish line to take that winter hook-up to a love that lasts through the spring is here.

You asked, we listened.
We launched 'Make Pizza Drink Wine' back in July 2018, and ever since then, it's became the hottest weekly interactive food event happening in New York City. But sometimes, weekly isn't enough. Especially when classes are selling out four to five weeks in advance.
So, due to popular demand-- plus if Friday nights don't work well for ya or if you're simply looking for something unique to do with your work crew (team-building and/or private/corporate events are more than welcome, too, just email info@spoilednyc.com for parties of ten or more)-- we just released Tuesday, March 19th & 26th, and every Tuesday in April for a lil' happy hour action starting at 6PM!
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your work friends or forward this email to your office's Human Resources Department and join us at Kesté Pizza & Vino Fulton, located at 77 Fulton Street, for a taste of Naples and to test out your pizza-making chops. (P.S., we promise you’ll want to throw out your take-out menus afterwards.)
P.S., Want to check out some pretty amazing Instagram Stories from our previous 'Make Pizza Drink Wine' events? We gotchu covered right here. Enjoy 'em-- and we'll see you for a fun-filled evening of 🍕 & 🍷 very soon!

12 E 49th St 11th Floor New York, NY 10017

With a little help from the folks over at Kesté Pizza & Vino's Fulton Street location, you can now learn how to make fresh mozzarella so you can do it from the comfort of your own home afterwards!
Following in the footsteps of last week's inaugural 'Make Mozzarella Drink Wine', which was completely sold out, we're proud to announce a few more dates: this Sunday, February 24th (there's a few spots still available!), Sunday, March 17th, 24th, & 31st, and every Sunday in April from 3 PM to 5 PM.
You’ll enjoy complimentary glasses of house red and white wines for the afternoon (did somebody say, “SUNDAY FUNDAY!?”) while learning first-hand about fresh mozzarella from Roberto Caporuscio, the infamous dairy farmer turned Neapolitan pizza-maker.
You’ll also have deliciously cheesy appetizers like fried burrata, fresh mozzarella rolled with prosciutto and arugula salad, and Neapolitan pizza served up, alongside a main dish of fresh mozzarella that you’ll help to make and top off with a lil' extra virgin olive oil. Plus, after chowing down on a lil’ doughy dessert made with everyone’s favorite midnight snack, Nutella, you’ll get to go home with a lil’ goodie bag of the freshest goods that Roberto himself uses in his own kitchen.
If you’re looking for the most interactive food experience unlike any other happening in New York City right now, this is it-- or, kesté, as they say in Naples! You can purchase your tickets by clicking here.
