October newsletter from Slung Low We've plenty to tell you about this month and lots to look forward to as the dark nights draw in.... Its been great to see so many of you recently in Holbeck  for performances at the HUB, for the events at the How To...Festival and for our interactive walking adventure It Happened Here. Thank you so much for coming You may have seen recent announcements concerning our big project for next year in Hull as part of UK City of Culture. "Flood" will be an epic adventure about the end of our world, set in the future, told in many parts across 2017. Here's a link to the official event page. Keep watching as more detail is added. Before that, and with the festive season fast approaching, we will be across the Pennines for The Seige of Christmas, our show for young people at Contact Theatre in Manchester. You can find out about that here. We've our own festivities before that of course with our annual Christmas Fayre at the HUB which will take place on Sunday Dec 4th from 12 though til 4pm - put it in your diaries, we'd love to see as many of you there as possible! At the HUB this month we have amazing physical theatre cperformances from Rhum and Clay with their smash hit from last year's Edinburgh Fringe, 64 Squares and the ever brilliant Idle Motion return with Shooting With Light, These are going to be hot tickets so do get those reservations in! As a midweek bonus in on Tue 18 October and in partnership with Love Arts Festival Leeds we've Luca Rutherford's brilliant Learning How To Die This wonderful life-affirming show is not about grief, or pity, or being sad - but how acceptance of mortality can drive a passion for life. The month ends with more halloween horrors in the form of HUB - regular Michael Sabbaton who returns here with his latest H.P Lovecraft adaptation Polaris. A final reminder that for booking tickets to all events we now have a designated link on each event web page will take you through to our partners Quay Tickets, who will now handle all reservations and issue you with an e-ticket.
