Chance It @ Seven
On Thursday 14 and
Friday 15 July, 7.30pm, Certainty of Chance Theatre
presents Candy. Martin just wants to celebrate his
birthday quietly. Or not at all. After all, he’s only thirty. His
brother David has other ideas. Before long Martin finds himself
surrounded by presents he doesn’t want, a brother he doesn’t like and a
stripper! Written by Robert Pashley and directed by Stephen Bellamy. £6.
On Saturday 16 July,
8.30pm, fabulous French music for Bastille Day – or
nearly! Encore performed
by Maggi Stratford & Daniel Bowater will showcase some new
(and some old) chansons from Piaf, Barbara, Bressens et al….. £9.
On Sunday
17 July, 1.30-4pm, the Seven Jazz concert
is B. D. Lenz Trio.
Mix together the styles of Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, and Stevie Ray
Vaughan and you have the recipe for contempo-jazz guitarist B.D. Lenz.
This New York native is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Los
Angeles. £10 /

Look forward to a relaxed hour on Wednesday
20 July, 5.30-6.30pm of Rush Hour Jazz. Chill out with
a drink or coffee after work in Seven Bar. Hat collection.
Also on Wednesday
20 July, 8pm, Seven's Cult Film Season presents Repo Man. Young
punk rocker, Otto lands a job working for an eccentric automobile
repossession agent named Bud. Otto is reluctant at first but he soon
grows to love his fast-paced work. After learning of a Chevy Malibu
with a $20,000 repossession price tag, Otto embarks on a quest to
find the car with the beautiful Leila, who claims that its trunk
contains something otherworldly. Dir:

On Thursday 21 July,
9pm, Leeds Morris Men
will perform Traditional Cotswold Morris Dances outside Seven. And at
the weekend on
Sunday 24 July, 2.30pm, a real family treat as Mr & Mrs Theatre
Company presents Charlotte's Web, a fabulous show with
aerial rig based on the children's story. £7 /£5 conc.
