Writers events at Leeds Big Bookend Festival

Events suitable for writers coming up at Leeds Big Bookend Festival:

What's on for Writers at the Leeds Big Bookend Festival?

We know Leeds is full of talented writers, poets and playwrights, so we have an exciting programme of workshops and talks to inspire the writer within.

The Changing Character of Fiction
Join N.E David as he explores the current trend of character journeys in modern fiction and asks whether these character changes are necessary for fiction to be meaningful.

Poetry of Art Workshop
Join Chris Tutton as he hosts a fun and interactive workshop exploring the links between poetry and art. This event is suitable for both adults and young adults alike.

Join Jennifer Kavanagh as she talks about her journey from agent to author, the publication of her first novel, The Emancipation of B and how it feels to write fiction rather than non-fiction. Saturday 6th June, Leeds Church Institute.

How Can You Pull Story Ideas From Thin Air?
Join SJ Bradley for a fun, interactive workshop which will teach you how to find new ideas and weave them into compelling narratives. Ticket details here.

Mirror Mirror...
Writers often reflect on past events and the impact the impact they have on our lives and perceptions. We showcase a number of Leeds poets for whom reflections are a core part of their work.
