Hebden Bridge Arts Festival 2014

The Hebden Bridge Arts Festival starts this weekend, for full details of the events, see the information below:

Festival time is nearly here. We're putting final plans in place and hoping this lovely weather stays put!

The Festival kicks off on Friday with The Hebden Shorts (now all sold out.) As well as a preview of our Martin Parr exhibition (to which you are all invited) and Andy Kershaw’s Global Dance Night at The Trades.

Saturday we have Arioso, performing works by Stamitz, Gluck and Haydn at Wainsgate, as well as the Disco Mums at Nelsons, take your pick. Sunday 29th is Street Sundae - entertainment all over town, and bigger and more fabulous than ever before! In the evening we give you Steve Richards Rock 'N' Roll Politics. A brand new show where the audience will choose the main topic and get the chance to become a party leader for the evening.

Monday, (everyone needs a night out...) You can't go to John Shuttleworth unless you already have tickets unfortunately,  but you can see Daniel Bye, part stand up, part storytelling at The Little Theatre, it will improve your Monday no end.

Tuesday 'I Wish I Was Lonely', theatre performance
where you're encouraged to leave your mobile on for once. Wednesday Simon Amstell (last few tickets available) and Thursday George Monbiot and Ivor Novello nominees The Leisure Society see them in action here

Enough! we'll send you more on the final weekend next week, looking forward to seeing you there.

Full programme details can be found at the website hebdenbridgeartsfestival.co.uk. Tickets are available online or from the Box Office at the Town Hall.
