women, most of whom are based in the North West, whose ages range from 22-51
and their stories reflect the wealth of different locations where they grew up,
from the West Indies to Java and the Ukraine. Covering a range of relationships
from admiration to indifference, many are positive and all are entertaining,
revealing something about the complexity of human relationships.

courses: financial assistance may be available to those on a low
income, and places are free to those in receipt of means tested benefits.
Also new writing courses start in Hebden Bridge at the
beginning of May:
A relaxed look at more aspects of
storywriting. The class will be about encouragement and sharing, and you will
be welcome to bring along your own work for feedback. Suitable for beginners
and those with some experience.
For
writers who like walking and walkers who like writing. Each week a local walk
will inspire writing exercises. Join this friendly group to make the most of
the light summer evenings and get together with other writers.
Includes looking at the links
between poetry and art, writing new poems and working on a project which uses
both text and images. Also, a gallery or exhibition visit during the course.
Suitable for poets at any stage, beginners welcome.
Different forms of travel and transportation will be used as
themes for new writing. We will travel in both time and place, crossing
continents and exploring unchartered territories, with exercises and games to
produce new poems.
