Went to see this movie last night with my family and good friends C, M and H.
IMDB says: Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier.
From Directors Anthony and Joe Russo comes the latest Captain America movie starring Chris Evans (Avengers Assemble, Fantastic Four) as Steve Rogers/Cap. When Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson of Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained) suspects there may be corruption at the heart of S.H.I.E.L.D. he doesn't know who to trust but, despite their difficult relationship, he decides to take the evidence to the Cap. Before he can reveal very much, Fury is shot by the mysterious Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan of Black Swan, Hot Tub Time Machine) and choosing not to trust what he knows with World Council leader Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Out of Africa), Pierce locks down operations and turns the network against Rogers and Agent Romanov/AKA Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson of We Bought a Zoo, Iron Man 2). With nowhere to go or no-one else to trust, they turn to Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie of The Fifth Estate, The Hurt Locker).
Other World Council leaders included Jenny Agutter (The Railway Children, Logan's Run) and Alan Dale (Neighbours, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and I enjoyed spotting Emily VanCamp (Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke from Revenge) and Danny Pudi (Abed in Community) as Agent 13/Kate and Com Tech #1 respectively, but not as much as Stan Lee's one liner as the Smithsonian Guard.
For me, the storyline did not really seem to go anywhere, though the visual effects added greatly to the action scenes, but it was entertaining enough, just not in the same league as Avengers Assemble or Thor and Iron Man for that matter.
Remember to stay to the end for the two extra scenes in the credits.
Taglines: In heroes we trust. 8.5/10

When you watch this movie, you can't help but embrace your inner patriot. It reminded us all that America can still be pretty awesome.
