The care leaver as Superhero

What makes a superhero? A cape, a mission, an idea?

As part of an afternoon of events focusing on human rights, Festival patron Dr Lemn Sissay MBE makes a special visit to Huddersfield to talk about his own personal view of human rights in relation to his experiences as an adopted child and from his perspective as an adult.

The author of several books of poetry, alongside articles, records, public art and plays, Lemn Sissay was an official poet for the London Olympics and his Landmark Poems are installed throughout Manchester and London.
