Previously-unpublished short stories of up to
5,000 words may be entered into this competition. There's no restriction on
theme or content. The closing date is 31st March 2014. There's a £500 first
prize. More details are here and full competition
rules are here. Entries will also be considered for publication
in Short Fiction.
This annual short story competition is now open
to entries of previously-unpublished fiction between 2,000 and 4,000 words.
The competition closing date is 16th June 2014. The winning author will
receive £1,000 and the story will be published in print and online. More

This annual free-to-enter short story competition is open again
to submission. Stories of up to 3,000 words - on any theme - may be entered.
The competition closing date is 1st July 2014. There are prizes of £50, £30
