Delightful Dales

I spent the weekend in the fantastic Dales.  We camped with our good friends Sarah and Richard and their two children at Cracken House in picturesque Leyburn and we couldn't have ordered better weather.  The entire weekend was wall to wall sunshine and we had a massive couple of pitches next to each other.  It was a large campsite with a lovely stream running at the bottom of the field and gorgeous horses in the adjacent field and cows in the other.  It was blissfully quiet and so naturally beautiful we tried to book for next weekend, but unfortunately it was booked up.  On the Saturday we went to Middleham Castle which the kids loved and we bought them a bow and arrow and a foam sword which they used to battle around the castle after our picnic.  On the Sunday we drove into the Dales and had another picnic by the stream near some friendly sheep and the children spent a lovely hour looking at the tiny fish in the stream.  I thought I would share some of the photo's:
