Music All The Way @ Seven A week of music for all tastes from contemporary jazz with Brazilian influences, through evocative ballads, regae beats and the best soulsl around to dynamic jazz drumming. Starting with tomorrow, Thursday16th April 7.30pm with JazzLeeds – Billy Marrows’ Grande Família, this critically acclaimed 12-piece chamber-jazz ensemble fuses contemporary jazz with funk, folk, Brazilian and classical influences. Their infectiously melodic sound draws inspiration from the likes of Wayne Shorter, Hermeto Pascoal, Gil Evans and Loose Tubes. Seven Venue. £20/18/10 plus fees in advance £20 on the door. On Friday 17th July, 7.30pm, look forward to Schwa, a retrospective of material created over twelve years with songs about nature and its despoliation, migration and hospitality, love and loss. ‘Vivid lyricism and authentic vocals blended with fantastic, eclectic arrangements’ (Testament). Seven Venue. £15 /£12 conc. On Saturday 18th April, 4-6pm, Spring Sessions – Kwame D. A welcome return visit from one of our favourites, guaranteed to get you singing, tapping or even dancing to some smooth reggae beats and soulful songs. Seven Bar. Pay What You Feel. Organised by Mewl Music. Also on Saturday 18th April, 8pm, you too can have a party with The Soul Shebang. This band gets people up on their feet with a wild cocktail of brass, harmonies, rhythm and the best soul singer for miles around. Seven Venue. £15. Doors 7.30pm. JazzLeeds – Gaz Hughes Trio on Sunday 19th April 1.30-4pm. Gaz Hughes is a jazz drummer and bandleader whose style is deeply rooted in 1950s bebop. Known for his dynamic ensemble playing, he blends subtlety and energy to create compelling performances, earning praise from both audiences and renowned musicians. Seven Venue.£12 /£10 conc in advance  /£12 on the door. Doors 1pm.  And don't forget, at 7.30pm, also on Sunday 19th April, the Seven Quiz. This and every Sunday, test your knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere – a great way to unwind with friends and family. Seven Bar. £5 per team.
