Tom Sharp has undertaken a study in Brown, and gives the work of probably the greatest trumpet player the love it deserves. Single-mindedly obsessed with his compositions and playing from an early age, Tom and his quintet apply a san-du attitude to the fiendish bop and beautiful balladry that made Clifford Brown part of the jazz canon.
