Creative Kirklees
Latest Events, News and Opportunities

Wednesday, February 18th

As the days begin to stretch a little longer, Kirklees is stepping into a season packed with creativity and cultural energy.

The Electric Spring Festival bursts into life today, bringing with it a vibrant mix of sound, innovation and performance.

We’re also excited to share that applications are now open for communities wishing to become the next Town of Culture. This is a brilliant opportunity for local groups to celebrate their identity, showcase their creativity and shape cultural activity where they live.

For those taking their first steps into a creative business or freelance career, the Creative Skills Bootcamp is now welcoming new participants. It’s designed to help emerging practitioners build confidence, sharpen practical skills and turn ideas into sustainable work within Kirklees’ growing creative economy.

And finally, the next lunchtime organ concert brings something truly special. David Pipe will be joined by musicians from Opera North for a thrilling meeting of brass and organ - an uplifting way to pause in the middle of the day and experience the power of live music.
