Creative Kirklees
Latest Events, News and Opportunities

Wednesday, January 21st

Creativity is thriving across Kirklees as we move into the new year, thanks to the people who bring the district to life with their ideas. This newsletter gathers together the latest stories, opportunities, events, and inspiration from our creative community.

February brings two great Festivals to Kirklees - the much‑loved Mrs Sunderland Festival, a highlight of our cultural calendar celebrating music, performance, and artistic talent and the Electric Spring Festival, an annual festival of cutting-edge electronic music with a programme of concerts, installations, workshops and symposia. The month also features Master the Game, a free 5‑day programme from Proper Job Theatre Company designed to help freelancers and creative business owners build skills and move toward financial independence.

There are great opportunities available too, including a role for an Events Co‑ordinator with Kirklees Council, supporting the delivery of high‑quality events in the public realm at Our Cultural Heart.

And if you’re looking to try something new, develop a skill, or simply create with others, there’s a fantastic range of workshops ready to spark your imagination.

And remember you will find lots more at www.creativekirklees.com and www.musicinkirklees.co.uk
