Our magical pantomime, Snow White, begins this month - we can't wait for you to experience the sparkling costumes, spectacular songs and laugh-out-loud jokes that are in store.

Come join Leeds Community Arts Network (LeedsCAN) for a day full of FREE activities, including a behind-the-scenes tour of the Carriageworks, improv for young people, and children's theatre workshops as they take over the Carriageworks Theatre. View the full programme on LeedsCAN's website.

LeedsCAN Takeover Day

 

Thu 2 November, 10am - 8pm

Join Leeds Community Arts Network (LeedsCAN) as they take over the Carriageworks Theatre for a whole day. There will be a huge variety of FREE workshops suitable for young people and adults with activities including dancing, singing, improvisation, directing, stage design, writing and much more.

The Bubble Show

 

Fri 3 November, 2pm

The Bubble Show is a unique blend of magic, storytelling, science and bubble art! Enjoy bouncy bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, smoke bubbles, square bubbles, giant bubbles, and even fire bubbles! 

Age guidance: 3-12

 

 

Charlotte's Web

 

Wed 8 - Sat 11 November, various times

Wilbur is a little pig with a lovable nature who captures the heart of a little girl called Fern. When he grows too big, Wilbur is sent to a farm where he discovers his eventual fate. It’s up to a wise and kind barn spider named Charlotte to hatch a plan to save him.

When the vain Wicked Queen realises that she is no longer the fairest in the land, she seeks revenge against her beautiful stepdaughter, Snow White. With the help of the magical Forest Fairy and her seven faithful friends, can Snow White escape the Wicked Queen’s evil clutches and live happily ever after with her handsome Prince?

Featuring breath-taking scenery and special effects, sparkling costumes, and spectacular song and dance, Snow White is the pantomime that is simply wicked, simply wonderful and simply must be seen!

A bi-monthly night of improvised comedy courtesy of Leeds’ very own award-winning improvised sketch group, The Discount Comedy Checkout. All the characters, scenarios, and situations are created using your suggestions.

Katie Saves the Day!

 

 

Sun 17 - Sun 31 December, various times

Join Katie on this interactive seasonal treat and help her and Father Christmas save Christmas for everyone. Sorry, Christmas is Cancelled…Katie Saves the Day! features a unique blend of dynamic storytelling, hand crafted puppets, original music and stunning scenery.

The Christmas Experience

 

 

25 November - 7 January 2024
Lotherton Hall Estate

Visit Santa’s snow-filled North Pole for a magical experience with the elves and find the secrets of Christmas in their bustling workshop before meeting the main man himself. Stroll through the interactive Festive Woodland Walk to discover the hidden Fairy Dell and enjoy the splendour of Lotherton’s Edwardian house in all its festive finery. Get ready to decorate gingerbread people and sing the odd carol with Mrs Claus before heading to the enchanted Elf Village where you can keep toasty warm with a hot drink whilst little ones decorate Christmas ceramics and make their very own reindeer food.

Age guidance: suitable for all ages

 

Jess Gillam Ensemble

The Old Woollen, Sunny Bank Mills, Farsley

Join the dynamic Jess Gillam Ensemble for a warming, wintery concert featuring festive favourites and music that spans centuries. This sparky and energetic ensemble comprising saxophone, strings, bass, percussion, and piano performs Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite and Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story Suite, plus festive favourites such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and Silent Night
