Mslexia 2021 Women's Poetry competition, deadline midnight today

There's still a little time to enter, full details below:

Sound the deadline klaxon – the 2021 Women's Poetry Competition closes at midnight tonight! If you haven't submitted your entry yet, you only have a few hours left.

Need an extra pep talk? Our 2020 Pamphlet winner, Alison Binney, had entered the competition twice before – with the same collection! – and hadn't won. It was after some extra tweaking and a final surge of confidence that she submitted for a third time. And it was, as they say, the charm!

Amy Wack, the poetry editor who judges the pamphlet category, says: 'There are so many near misses every year, so please try again even if you’ve been unsuccessful in the past. Revising or replacing one or two weaker poems and reordering the collection can make all the difference.’

Onwards to the categories!
