Deadline
for the Flash Fest Micro Comp is upon us!
We're running a festival micro fiction competition
that you can enter in advance of the weekend. You get the prompt
when you book your ticket so if you've already booked, check your
welcome email for the info and the link to send your story! And check out these great writing tips
from the judges of the 2201 Retreat West Prize flash fiction and
micro fiction categories.
If you haven't yet booked - why not?! It's going to be an amazing
weekend of flashy fun with great workshops, panel Q&As, a book
launch, flash readings, and the winners of the first ever Retreat
West Awards! You can see the stories and writers
shortlisted for these awards here.
To be in with a chance of winning one of the mystery prizes, which
will be announced over the festival weekend along with the winners,
send your micro story to us by 23.59 (UK time) on 15th August 2021.
A first, second, third, and highly commended prize will be awarded
at the festival.
The winning stories will be published in the Flash Fiction
section on the Retreat West website and eligible for the 2022
Retreat West Awards.
