Creative Kirklees Newsletter 4 August 2021
We’re a day late with our newsletter - sorry! However, it’s still full of great things to see and do and there’s lots coming up to look forward to!
A pre-launch event for the Kirklees Year of Music 2023 will be taking place on the evening of Wednesday 22 September at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield and everyone is invited! There will be live music performances, street entertainment and refreshments, with welcome speeches and a keynote speaker. The Year of Music vision will be launched and you can find out exciting ways you can become involved. Book your place and find out more here.
It’s great to see tickets for the Lawrence Batley Autumn Season are now on sale! They're back bigger and better than ever, with a brand new auditorium to welcome you back to and some of the very best, most relevant and exciting shows on offer.
Have a look What's On in August at Temporary Contemporary, who are working with local artists and arts organisations in Huddersfield to use empty shops in the Piazza and Queensgate Market for activities, workshops, drop-ins and exhibitions. They are having a special Day of Creativity at the Piazza on Saturday 14 August. Do check it out if you can - there will be all sorts of creativity going on!
And don’t forget the Sangam Festival, which is now in full swing, still has a great selection of activites to choose from.
