Creative Kirklees Newsletter 17 August 2021

This week’s newsletter brings you theatre, workshops, and a great work opportunity, so read on!

The Lawrence Batley Theatre (LBT) have outdoor entertainment in their Courtyard with The HandleBards on Tuesday 19 August - a bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s classic Macbeth (yes you read that right!). On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 August the Kirklees Youth Theatre Ensemble present Lionel Bart's Oliver with shows in the daytime and evening.

Yorkshire Sound Women Network are running an online seminar - How to get your music heard – on Tuesday 24 August, as part of their seminar series intended for women and people of minority genders. Journalist, radio presenter and producer Shell Zenner will share her insider tips on how to reach more fans, present your talents to the media and know what producers and promoters are really looking for.

Manasamitra are looking for a Social Media/Community Development Worker to work with them 1 day a week to develop their social media marketing strategy and to link with local communities in Kirklees. If you’re the person for the job or you know someone who is, you have until 13 September to apply.

Keep in touch during the week on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
