A thrilling tale of magic, heroism, love and betrayal adapted from the novel Arthur: High King of Britain by Michael Morpurgo, author of War Horse and Private Peaceful.

A drowning boy is rescued by a mysterious figure who claims to be Arthur Pendragon. As the old man tells his stories, he is transported back to the heady days of Camelot, the Round Table, Merlin, Excalibur, Lancelot and Guinevere.

Dive into a week long celebration of words, writing and wonder with Wakefield Lit Fest - Talking Loud and Saying Summat!
Beam and A Firm of Poets have put together an inspiring line up of poets and writers, including Linton Kwesi Johnson, Steve Ignorant and Edwyn Collins & Grace Maxwell at venues across Wakefield.
Events include poetry readings with The Merry West Collective and One Day After School, writing workshops with John Irving Clark and Matt Abbott and family fun with the Yorkshire Penguin Posse and local author and artist Claire Walker.
