Creative Kirklees newsletter

The latest Creative Kirklees newsletter, with details of opportunities, for my followers to peruse:

Creative Kirklees Newsletter 21 June 2017

This week is Small Charity Week 2017 and Localgiving will double one-time donations to local charities pound-for-pound by up to £25. The campaign will take place on Fundraising Day, Thursday 22nd June and there are four local charities currently registered, including Holme Valley Sharing Memories, Chol Theatre, Holmfirth Arts Festival and Growing Works - why not donate to one of these or register your own small charity if you’re looking to fundraise?
If you enjoy browsing exhibitions there are a number to choose from at the moment, but you might want to take part in the
Mindfulness and Art workshop at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park first.  This session will give you the chance to take time out and learn how to use mindfulness to become a more active observer with artwork. Then pop along to some of the great exhibitions going on locally and try it out – in Mirfield you can enjoy Limbo at the Creative Arts Hub and Tracing Memory at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop or in Huddersfield Photography and Stories by Olivia Hemingway and the Annual Exhibition of the Yorkshire Photographic Union at Huddersfield Art Gallery.
From next week the newsletter will be sent out on a
Tuesday, so add your events and news by Monday evening to be in with a chance of being included.
