The Litro Literary Weekend 25-28 May

Just received details of the Litro Literary Weekend coming up in May:

Litro Literary Weekender

Our first literary weekend festival will run 25-28th May 2017

The full programme will be available later in the Spring. In the meantime,  we have released "early bird" tickets. Please act swiftly if you wish to buy these tickets as they may well get snapped up before the full programme is released.

Come celebrate the launch of our inaugural weekender with a live rendition of Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart, read by actor Clarke Peters, politician Paul Boateng, playwright Sir Tom Stoppard & more guests to be announced.

25th May, Art & Identity

An evening with Ekow Eshun, Yinka Shonibare MBE & guests.

27th May, Inua Ellams’ Rhythm and Poetry Party.

Curated especially for the Litro Literary Weekender, this nostalgic, no-clutter, no-fuss, straight-up evening of hip-hop-inspired poems and favourite hip-hop songs.
The lineup’s six selected poets span the brightest talented Ghanaian and Nigerian spoken word artists, crossing genres united by the specificity of language and its potential for effortless rhyme. Expect your head to nod and heart to move. Featuring Caleb Femi, Theresa Lola, Victoria Anne-Bulley, Charles Obiri-Yeboah, Dzifa Benson, Inua Ellams.
