The Leeds Big Bookend Children’s
Festival, Passport to Leeds,11.30 am – 5.00pm, Saturday 19th
November at the Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds
Join us for a day of journeys and adventures as we ask what makes
you feel at home and step into the shoes of those who have had to
leave their homes and travel to distant lands to find a place of
safety.
There's a full
programme of storytelling and author readings from Tell Me
Another storytellers, author Chris Madeley,
storyteller Anne Carter and author Daniel
Ingram-Brown.
There's a special taster performance and workshop of Daniel
Ingram-Brown's, Rise of the Shadow Stealers book, adapted
for the stage.

In addition, our all day Festival hub has a wide range
of craft and activities for everybody.
Make your own Passport to Leeds with artist Alice
Clayden; illustrator Si Smith will
bring to life your characters inspired by Stories
from the Forests of Leeds; meet The YoYos
from Pyramid of Arts and make your own puppet; create and colour in
characters from local author, Irene
Lofthouse's Strange
Tales.
There are competitions too! Get creative and you could
win a prize in our writing, drawing and poetry competitions.
Tickets cost £3.00 for adults, £1.00 for children. U5s are free.
All children must be accompanied by their adults. Please note a
photographer will be present on the day.
