Here is the latest newsletter from Slung Low, including a Christmas Fayre, The Seige of Christmas, The House Behind the Lines and The Pretend Men's Police Cops:

November's news from Slung Low

Almost time to dig out the decorations and deck the HUB with boughs of holly!
We'll be looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our annual
Christmas Fayre at the HUB which will take place on Sunday Dec 4th from 12 through til 4pm.
At this years Christmas Fayre we will be asking people to bring along a secret santa present
to be given to the guests at Christmas Dinner Leeds. Christmas Dinners happen all over the country and are crowd funded by goodwill with a group of people coming together to host a Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings for young care leavers.

We'll send out more information about what presents to bring a bit nearer the time.
We first heard about the charity from the brilliant Lemn Sissay - check out his blog here to learn more.

Preparations are also well underway for for The Seige of Christmas, our show for young people at Contact Theatre in Manchester which will run through December. You can find out about that here.

The HUB programme draws to a close at the end of this month as we take our usual break for December and January, but we've two brilliant offering's before then.

Buglight Theatre's The House Behind The Lines is a new play devised and scripted from our research into the hidden history of sex workers on the Western Front in World War 1. The company have been working with BASIS Sex Work Project, (the charity responsible for the wonderful mosaic on the wall outside the HUB) and some of the show was developed here in its earlier stages so we are very excited to be hosting the full version.

We are delighted to offer a last minute addition to the programme - The Pretend Men's Police Cops was an absolute smash at Edinburgh Fringe this year and as part of their UK autumn tour, we have managed to persuade them to stop by the HUB. Check out their trailer here, and here's the link to their web-page.

There aren't many places left for either of these two brilliant shows, so if you'd like to come please don't leave booking til the last minute.

Unfortunately The Molino Project have had to postpone their planned tour of Much Further Out Than You Thought. However we hope to be welcoming them back to the HUB in 2017.

Another reminder that for booking tickets to all events we now have a designated link on each event web page will take you through to our partners Quay Tickets, who will now handle all reservations and issue you with an e-ticket. You will not need to pay anything upfront and all events at the HUB will still be Pay What You Decide after the performance.

As ever tune in regularly on Twitter and Facebook for more regular updates.

See you soon
