There is a SCBWI speaker event in London on Tuesday evening, full details below:
INDUSTRY INSIDERS is the rebranded London Professional Series – a wonderful opportunity to socialise with other people from the children's book world and gain vital information from industry professionals.
We're really pleased to announce the first of our Industry Insiders evenings:
Emma Layfield, Commissioning Editor, Hodder
Emma's love for reading led her to studying for a degree in Writing and Publishing, and later an MA in Publishing. She has worked in a number of picture book roles at Hodder Children's Books, including, Editorial Assistant, Assistant Editor, Senior Project Editor and now Commissioning Editor.
Sara Grant
Sara is a longtime SCBWI member, author and "Book Bound" tutor and was involved with the organising of the London Professional Series in the early days. She will reflect on how things have changed in the world of SCBWI in last 10 years and share her personal view of what the future holds for SCBWIillustrators and writers. www.sara-grant.com
