Creative Services Yorkshire provides the following services:

• Supporting writers and creatives with manuscript appraisals, proofreading, editing, article writing, blurbs, synopses and copywriting.
• Running bespoke creative writing workshops for schools, groups or individuals.
• Organising your events from conception through marketing, PR, management and feedback for your sponsors.
• Fully bespoke publishing service including cover design, typesetting and marketing/publicity.

• Undertaking manuscript appraisals, including editing and proof-reading services. 
• Providing typing, proof-reading, and editing services for academic articles published by Dr. Peter Neville.
• Editing and proof-reading the autobiography of a former leading international footballer.
• Running bespoke Creative Writing Workshops for adults and students.
• Director and event manager for the Cleckheaton Literature Festival in 2015 & 2016, including secured funding.
• Editing and proofreading of manuscripts for writers including J. B. Tallis 'Age of Affiliation' and Lucy Brighton 'Finding Grace'.

ABOUT KAREN AS A CREATIVE CONSULTANT

Karen has been helping authors and academics, arranging events and workshops since 2011. She loves everything writerly, and is a huge supporter of those she has helped over the years (see 'Recent Clients'). 

She has an MA in Writing for Performance and a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing and Identity and is a member of The Society of Authors, RNA, SCBWI NE and GEA. 

For many years she has run a voluntary free Writers Group at her local library, plus voluntarily set up and ran the Cleckheaton Literature Festival in 2015 and 2016 to help save their library service and raise literacy rates in Kirklees. Featuring writers, poets and creatives including Joanne Harris, Luke Wright, Helen Cadbury and Andy Kershaw, the Festivals were very popular.

Variety is the spice of life, and she will consider any brief, big or small.
