Expressions Through Trash

Some New Yorkers are in high spirits while others are in confusion about the plastic bag ban approaching. Others, like RAE BK, are harnessing the change to create amazing and eco-conscious art from recycled plastic.
The bags that would otherwise land in landfills, contributing to the pollution killing ocean life, are being used to construct portraits and pieces on wooden canvases.
