Have Patience @ Seven
On Wednesday 18 May,
6.30pm, Seven is showing the film, ‘Power In Our Hands’.
The film is a compilation of historical archive footage of the Deaf,
dating back to the 1930s. The forgotten footage has now been compiled
into a documentary with its narrative being the recognition of British
Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf rights. A Pay
What You Feel event. Also on Wednesday why not chill out in Seven
Bar 5.30pm - 6.30pm listening
to Rush Hour Jazz.
This month Nel Begley vocals, Steve Crocker bass and Dom Moore
drums.
Seven Jazz presents James Clark and the
Lonely Hearts Rugby Clwb Orchestra on Thursday 19 May, 8pm. Led
by Leeds pianist James Clark, The Lonely Hearts Rugby Clwb is his Welsh
jazz orchestra – 20 musicians playing music from Bulgaria to Brazil to
South Africa (and being from Wales) in rugby gear too! £16 /£14 conc. Doors 7.30pm.
Rounding of the week
on Friday 20 May, 8pm, look forward to the The Jon Palmer Acoustic
Band. This six-piece band has grown rapidly in
popularity. It features Jon’s award winning songs (Grolsch UK
Songwriter of the Year) with guitars, mandolin, whistles, violin, cajon
drum and double bass. Oh, and everyone sings! £8 adv /£10 otd.
