Ham and Passion at Theatre in the Mill - review

'Throughout the performances, machismo is derided and undercut, with ideas of gender challenged and toyed with. Theatre in the Mill is pleased to announce that Javaad Alipoor has agreed to join the team as Associate Director.

Iain Bloomfield, Artistic Director of Theatre in the Mill, comments ‘Working with Javaad as Associate Director offers Theatre in the Mill a terrific opportunity to develop our thinking around engagement with both BAMER artists and audiences –in terms of both our cultural and political offer.  We hope that this role will be mutually beneficial, helping Javaad to develop his produced work and giving him the opportunity to engage with programming a venue.  In addition the Associate Director Role will give him experience of supporting a range of visiting artists and will further develop his understanding of strategic development.’
