REMOTE
[Bradford]
Coney
Coney makes theatre in
which you can play and take a meaningful part. REMOTE is
a piece of sit-down interactive theatre, interrogating the
politics of choice, the Uberisation of everything, and living in
an immaterial world.
'Coney is one of a handful of companies worldwide
to explore interactive theatre’s potential to communicate the
intricacies of systems to the widest audience. It wants to equip
educators, charities and scientists with the tools to understand
and explain complex, interlocking structures like businesses,
governments, ecosystems – even climate.' New Scientist - read more

Ham
and Passion at Theatre in the Mill - review
'Throughout the performances,
machismo is derided and undercut, with ideas of gender challenged
and toyed with. A sense of urgency drives the choreography,
assisting the dancers to connect with the audience. Particularly
effective is the way Pons Guerra’s choices encourage the viewer
to question the performative nature of masculinity, through
provocation, humour and a large slab of meat.' read more

offers Theatre in the Mill a terrific opportunity to develop our

–in terms of both our cultural and political offer. We hope
