Strap in! One Week Left to Apply to Film Industry Bootcamp
Screen Yorkshire is calling for applications to Its New Film Industry Bootcamp. The four day intensive Programme, supported by Creative Skillset Film Skills Fund's AIMS to help new entrants make the leap from training to industry via a combination of sessions and first hand experience on set.
Application deadline: 5pm on Friday 19th February 2016
Aimed at expanding the region's crew base, the Film Industry Bootcamp has-been established in response to the Increase in production in the region since the launch of Screen Yorkshire's Yorkshire Content Fund in 2012. It will give Participants a better knowledge of what it's like to work in the film industry and how to break into it. Participants will be Given a thorough grounding on the workings of each department via two days of sessions With industry leading speakers. A detailed careers workshop Participants will help get Their CV's into tip-top condition and offer hints, tips and insider info on career progression and development. The classroom based sessions will be followed by a behind the scenes visit to a real life film set and a mock recce and production meeting Aimed at demonstrating how each department works together to deliver the finished product.
Screen Yorkshire's Bootcamp is supported by Creative Skillset's Film Skills Fund, Which is funded by the BFI With National Lottery funds, through the Skills Investment Fund. After completing Bootcamp, Participants will Have a clearer notion of the UK film industry, with a greater knowledge of the roles and Opportunities on offer and Should be well placed to apply for the Creative Skillset Finder Trainee scheme.
