Read Regional 2016
Ten authors from North of England selected for Read Regional 2016
We’re thrilled to announce the ten titles selected for this year’s Read Regional campaign.
From March to June 2016, the annual Read Regional campaign will be celebrating ten exciting new books from the North of England. At libraries and literary festivals across the North, the authors will take part in intimate book group-sized events where you can hear about their writing and talk to them about their work.
Now in its seventh year, Read Regional is a unique campaign run by New Writing North that partners with libraries and publishers to give readers the chance to meet authors in their local libraries. As well as the author events, all of the Read Regional titles are stocked in 22 library authorities across the region, creating a wealth of fantastic books available to borrow.
The Read Regional selections for 2016 are…
Fiction Carys Davies, The Redemption of Galen Pike
Crista Ermiya, The Weather in Kansas
Hazel Osmond, The Mysterious Miss Mayhew
Chris Killen, In Real Life
Caroline Roberts, The Torn Up Marriage
Helen Cadbury, Bones in the Nest
Rachel McIntyre, Me and Mr J
Poetry Kim Moore, The Art of Falling
Andrew Forster, Homecoming
Memoir Ian Clayton, Song for My Father
