The Leeds Big Bookend First World War Short Story Competition for young people, deadline 14 October

For any young writers out there, The Heritage Lottery Funded First World War and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: Leeds Pals, POWs and the Home Front’ writing competition in association with the Leeds Big Bookend could be the competition for them:

Then this could be the competition for them! 

Get them involved in the Heritage Lottery Funded First World War and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: Leeds Pals, POWs and the Home Front’ writing competition in association with the Leeds Big Bookend.

It's easy! All they need to do is write a short story or a poem about WWI - whether it's about life in the trenches, on the seas or the lives of those left behind, to be in with the chance of winning some fantastic prizes.
