CELEBRATES 20 GLORIOUS YEARS

27 March to 6 April 2014

Festival Passes on sale from 7 January 2014

Tickets on sale from 26 February 2014

As 2013 comes to a close, the team at BIFF have already begun working on putting together next year's festival. We're excited to announce that, from January 7th, our festival website will be live with festival passes and early tickets available for some of the most exciting cinema events of 2014.

Whilst we're keeping the full line-up under our hats until 26th February, confirmed highlights for 2014 include:

* Sally Potter Retrospective – BIFF will screen the complete filmography of one of the UK’s most fascinating and influential directors and Sally will be in Bradford to receive the Festival’s Fellowship Award on 30th March.

* The Dodge Brothers and Neil Brand – Festival favourites are back after the last two years’ performances to present the World Premiere of a new score for the little seen 1916 silent western Hell’s Hinges on 3rd April.

* Uncharted States Celebrates James Benning – Recognised as a seminal figure of the American avant-garde since the late 1970s, James Benning has been consistently championed by festival co-director Neil Young. This tribute will feature: the World Premiere of his new feature, BNSF (which Benning will introduce) and the UK Premiere of the Venice Film Festival prize winner, Double Play directed by Gabe Klinger, which focuses on the close relationship between Benning and fellow filmmaker Richard Linklater (Before Midnight, School of Rock, Dazed and Confused).

* Widescreen Weekend – (10-13 April) will pay homage to the 60th anniversary of the VistaVision process. Other highlights of WSW include: West Side Story (70mm with special sound mix); Big Trouble in Little China (70mm), and European Premieres for new digitally restored versions of the Cinerama classics Seven Wonders of the World and Search for Paradise.

Hope to see you next year. Until then, the team at BIFF would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
