Summer in the Courtyard returns 🌞

Hi Karen,         This summer, the spotlight shines outside as our annual outdoor festival of entertainment Summer in the Courtyard returns and this year it’s bigger and better than ever. Making the most of our beautiful courtyard space, we have a scorching line up of live music, comedy, headline DJs and family fun to enjoy on our outdoor stage. The sun-soaked celebrations begin at the end of this month with Courtyard Live, Huddersfield's very own music festival that's entirely free! Local theatre company Mikron will be bringing the British seaside to our outdoor stage with their new show Operation Beach Hut, a tale of subterfuge, seagulls and salty air served under the summer sun. We’re taking the jokes outside as our Courtyard Comedy Festival returns for its second year with red hot stand up stars and rising comedic talent. This year's headliners are Kiri Pritchard-McClean and Darren Harriott. Snap up the hottest ticket in town for our Dinky Disco Festival Style, which is back for a 3rd year. Join us for this summer family dance party of EPIC proportions featuring DJ sets, performances, interactive games, parachute play, face painting and bubbles. Our alfresco festivities will come to a spectacular close with an open-air headline DJ set from house music legend Graeme Park, guaranteed to be a sizzling night of legendary tunes and pure feel-good vibes. Whether you're here for the music, the giggles or just to soak up the good vibes with friends and family, our Summer in the Courtyard is the ultimate way to make magical memories. Get together with friends and family, grab a drink from the bar and enjoy live music in the open air- no need to book, no need to pack your wellies, just rock up for the perfect way to spend your weekend. BOOK NOW COMEDY Thu 26 June  Comedy Cellar June - Best New Yorkshire Act Our June Comedy Cellar will see eight of the finest Yorkshire stand ups compete for the Best New Yorkshire Act Award and a slot at our Courtyard Comedy Festival. Plus there is a headline set from Liverpudlian guitar-wielding satirist Steve Gribbin. BOOK NOW Beauty and the Beast Young Chorus Call Out We are looking for enthusiastic performers aged 12-16 to become part of our Young Chorus for our Christmas pantomime Beauty and the Beast. Our Young Chorus will perform in several dance numbers and will be involved as an ensemble in larger group scenes. The Young Chorus will also be encouraged to sing during several of the songs, so we are looking for strong all-round performers.
