UPCOMING EVENTS  In addition to our CSI and Digging Deeper experiences, we're always excited to be able to offer other unique workshops. Coming up, we have one of our most highly anticipated sessions and it's certainly not one to be missed... Uncovering the truth of the Oscar Pistorius case...  SATURDAY 28TH JUNE. 10AM - 1PM. New and improved for 2025, our 'In The Firing Line' experience provides you with a unique opportunity to go back in time to investigate a high profile case for yourself, analysing the forensic evidence to come to your own scientific conclusion as to what went on.   The murder of Reeva Steenkamp was a tragic loss that should have never have occurred. Pistorius claimed he accidently killed his girlfriend, mistaking her for an intruder in his home but there was a lot of controversy around the case as certain elements at the scene didn't seem to add up.  FORENSIC ANALYSIS Through forensic exploration, you will analyse everything from ballistics, including; rifling & firing marks, bullet identification & comparison, gun shot residue testing and trajectory. You will then look at injuries and bruising from the post-mortem report to match potential tool & weapon marks. Not only that, but you will delve into forensic linguistics to see how witness statements, audio analysis and sound wave travel can affect the validity of evidence.
