In the past week Sinners has taken the box office by storm, receiving rave reviews for its masterfully original story and epic action captured with IMAX cameras. Tickets are now on sale for Monkeys: Our Primate Family (28 Jun–30 Nov 2025). From huge gorillas to tiny mouse lemurs, the exhibition will explore the remarkable lives of primates, our closest relatives. The exhibition brings together taxidermy specimens of more than 50 species and raises awareness of continuing conservation efforts to protect these extraordinary animals and their fragile habitats.
Thanks to the support of players of People’s Postcode Lottery, children under 16 can visit the exhibition for free when accompanied by an adult. Also for the first time, National Museums Scotland is offering those on Universal Credit and other named UK benefits discounted exhibition entry.
Three Highland calves were born at the National Museum of Rural Life this month. Harris and Arran arrived on 15 April (pictured above with their mother Ceo), followed by Iona born to mother Airgead on 22 April.
