January brings new life to the New York art scene. Galleries are filled and curated with creatives trying to make sense of the corrupt power and the pain these powers cause.
Does the future lie in toppling the systems or returning to an anthropologic version of ourselves? Visit these exhibitions this month to explore this delicate balance.

Living in New York City can be pretty demanding and having a ton of student loans just adds to the pressure.
We’re constantly putting money towards commuting, groceries, clothes, and rent that looms over our heads every month.
Your loans helped you achieve a dream and now, with CommonBond, it’s time to set them free.
Short Story Selection
Every city feels as if it is an entity in and of itself, a being created by the millions of lives that inhabit it presently and have in the past. In Jemisin's short story written, we follow a young black homeless man just trying to survive in NYC.
An older man named Paulo helps him from time to time, buying him coffee and sandwiches in exchange for someone to listen to his rants. One morning, Paulo’s rant goes into the inner workings of the city, how it breathes and is ready for someone to help it live.
Our main character is wary of the breathing sounds he hears but assumes being homeless for so long has warped his mind.
