Fall In For Bootcamp 3.0! Kickstart Your Film Career
Could you cut it on set of the next hit British feature film or TV drama? Do you currently live in Yorkshire and Humber with less than six months experience working in the industry?
Screen Yorkshire is excited to announce that it is running a third edition of its successful Bootcamp scheme in Hull in February 2017, supported by Creative Skillset’s Film Skills Fund. Previous participants on the last two Bootcamps have gone on to get work on Journeyman, Brief Encounters, Emmerdale, DCI Banks, National Treasure and even Star Wars!

The three day intensive programme supports new entrants in behind camera and technical roles to make the leap from training to industry via classroom sessions and practical activities. It offers participants a better knowledge of what it’s like to work in the film industry and how to break into it.

Participants are given a thorough grounding on the workings of each department from some of the most talented and experienced UK crew behind the likes of This is England, Utopia, The Danish Girl & Dad’s Army. A detailed CV and life skills workshop will offer hints, tips and insider info on career progression and development. The classroom based sessions will be followed by a mock recce and production meeting aimed at applying your knowledge into the planning of a major film shoot.

Applications are invited from participants who have a degree or other higher qualification in an industry-related subject but have yet to convert that learning into a career.  Applications are also welcome from individuals who did not study a film-related subject but who have a demonstrable desire to enter the industry.
APPLY HERE - Deadline: Friday 06 January 2017, 5pm
