Freedom Actors Bradford
We are delighted to announce our new
scheme, Freedom Actors Bradford, which will be providing free
acting workshops for actors based in or around Bradford. The first session,
led by Evie Manning of Common Wealth, is now fully booked but we will be
announcing new workshops in the new year.
Freedom Actors Bradford has been set up by one of our associate artists Natalie Davies and will be meeting fortnightly at
Freedom Studios.

Freedom Studios Youth Theatre
Our drama facilitators, Natalie Davies and
Jude Wright,
supported by Anna
Parker, have been leading workshops for Carlton Bolling,
Grange Technology College and the LGBT Sound Youth group. The groups have
been focusing on devising their own slapstick comedy performances. We saw a
talent show gone wrong by Grange as well as clowns, mime artists and mask
performances from Carlton Bolling. The LGBT Sound Youth group have been
looking at sharing stories through performance and gender
stereotypes.
We can't wait to see what they come up with in 2017!

Virtual Reality and Theatre!
Our technologist-in-residence Imran Ali has written a blog about his experiences
creating a new ‘Theatrical
Reality’ for Tribe Arts as well as for our very own production of North
Country. Imran experimented with a 360 camera for some
great shots of the performance space and also put us directly into the
perspective of one of the characters with some clever camera work!

The Shoemaker's Christmas Wish: We’ve been loving hearing this in
rehearsal in our space over the last few weeks. You need to be quick to
grab last few tickets for this delightful Christmas show for wee elves as
it tours Bradford and Leeds.
