Your 2025 round-up!

Hey

What a year 2025 has been here at the Southbank Centre!

From Little Simz and her incredible Meltdown line-up, to a whole-site takeover from indie stalwarts Suede, a mammoth, cinematic dance event with Rambert x (LA)HORDE Ballet national de Marseille and a sell-out exhibition in the Hayward Gallery showcasing the poetic-yet-mischievous art of Yoshitomo Nara, we have been busy.

Get the full story below!

We are excited to see you soon at your next show 👇

March

Mitsuko Uchida might be a regular in our concert halls, but she never ceases to amaze. In the spring, she brought to life Beethoven's Sonata in E minor Op.90 alongside works by Schoenberg, Kurtág and Schubert.

April

Multitudes festival made its debut with an unforgettable first edition, where CIRCA, Marina Abramović, Frantic Assembly and more joined forces with world-class orchestras. It was incredible.

June

From curated free performances to sold-out gigs with the likes of Lola Young, The Streets and Simbi herself, Little Simz' Meltdown was a super-fun celebration of youth culture and music.

Who would you like to see at the helm of Meltdown 2026?

August

Gustavo Dudamel, fresh from his conducting gig for none other than Coldplay, played the Royal Festival Hall with the Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra for one night only. The programme? An eclectic mix from Bernstein to Falla.

With thanks to Hannah of Get Lost Yorkshire:

Weekly Escape

Hey

As this lands in your inbox on Christmas Eve, I just wanted to pop in with a gentle hello and a heartfelt thank you.

Whether today is a busy one, a quiet one, or somewhere in between, I hope it brings a little calm, warmth and comfort your way. And if you’re celebrating, I wish you the merriest of Christmases, filled with cosy moments, good food, and time spent exactly how you like it.

Before the year wraps up, I want you to know how grateful I am for you being here. Every read, reply, share, kind message, and photo you’ve sent this year has meant more than I can ever properly put into words. Get Lost exists because of this wonderful little community, curious, thoughtful, and full of love for the places that make our region so special.

As I start quietly planning what 2026 might look like, I’d absolutely love to hear from you. If there’s somewhere you’d love me to explore, a hidden gem you think deserves more love, or a kind of content you’d like to see more of next year, just hit reply and let me know. I read every message, and they genuinely help shape what comes next.

Thank you for being part of this journey, and for making this year such a special one.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas.

Until our next adventure,
