Ukiyo-e Until Sunday, 1 March (11am - 4pm) at Cliffe Castle FREE This autumn at Cliffe Castle we are taking the opportunity to look at Ukiyo-e or Japanese wood block prints. It’s easy to see why local industrialists collected them, with subjects ranging from landscapes, folklore and myths to images of the ‘floating world’ – the seductive urban life of Edo period Japan with its many pleasures. Punctuated throughout with objects to compliment the prints,including netsuke and samurai weapons and armour, Ukiyo-e explores the beauty and delicacy of the Japanese objects that form part of our wonderful and varied museum collection. Curated by a Youth Board and featuring up to 100 commissioned young artists, the festival showcases theatre, comedy, drag, photography, film, and more, all created by Bradford’s next generation. Guided Walk - Baildon Moor Saturday, 29 November (10.45am - 2.30pm) at Brackenhall Countryside Centre FREE This final Millennium Way Circular Walk for 2025 will depart from and finish at Brackenhall Countryside Centre. Leaving Brackenhall, you will take a rising path which becomes quite steep, across farmland, and moorland towards Dobrudden. You then bear right on a moorland track with extensive views across Airedale. You will contour below the summit of Baildon Moor before descending down the old “Collier Track” to the edge of Baildon. You will then walk along a lane to Faweather Grange and pass through the hamlet of Birch Close to pass Golcar and Glovershaw Farms. You will follow a path which is narrow and rocky in places with a stream down to your right, and soon emerge on to open land above Shipley Glen. You then make your way down Brackenhall Green and back to to the Countryside Centre. Victorian Christmas Market Saturday, 29 November - Sunday, 30 November (10am - 4pm) at Bradford Industrial Museum Entry fee: £2 (adults), FREE (children) Step back in time and experience the festive charm of a traditional Victorian Christmas at Bradford Industrial Museum.
