Welcome to the November Newsletter
Hot of the press! A mere 2 hours ago we announced our new Executive Director to the BOV team and are now delighted to share the news with you. The brilliant Rebecca Dawson, previous CEO of Punchdrunk and Candoco, will be joining the BOV family in January and brings a wealth of experience and creativity with her. She'll be joining forces with Nancy Medina as joint CEO. They are going to make quite the team!
And speaking of teams, we're thrilled to welcome Little Bulb and the Antarctica company into the buildng to start rehearsals - get to know a bit about them here.
Our Christmas Musical blockbuster Treasure Island is now sailing through week two of rehearsals which gave us the perfect excuse to dive into some fascinating historic links between the stage and the deep blue sea...
There's also the recent news about our Made in Bristol 260 project, launched to meet the challenges of getting culture into Bristol schools, and a roundup from the Independent Artists Survival Summit held here a few weeks ago, which is a vital read for anyone working in theatre today.
