chance to see a new work being prepared for touring by Rees Dance Company
showcasing the highly athletic and original work of choreographer Gavin

December, 7.30pm, JazzLeeds – Ray Charles and
the Giants of Soul by Jeremy Sassoon. This tribute to Ray
Charles and the Giants of Soul captures the imagination of Jazz, Blues
and Soul audiences alike. Seven

Schwa – Love Is Not All on
Friday 13th December,
7.30pm, tells the story in music and words of Edna
St.Vincent Millay, the Taylor Swift of 1930s American poetry, through
an original set of songs, setting words by this radical, bisexual poet
who filled stadiums in 1930’s America before burning out and dying in
her fifties. Seven

On Saturday 14th
December, a lot to be excited about. Christmas Festive Carols
will be performed by the Community Christmas Choir in Seven’s Courtyard
at 1pm. In
the 4-6pm
slot Winter Warmers – Lonan
, this acoustic trio take an engaging musical journey, through

Solo blues piano Piano virtuoso Dom Pipkin is one of Europe’s top
exponents of New Orleans rhythm and blues, breathing new life into the
classic funk sounds of The Meters, Dr John, Fats Domino and Professor
Longhair, with these influences emerging in his own irresistible

JazzLeeds – Nicky Allan at
Christmas is on Sunday
22nd December 1.30pm. Vocalist and pianist Nicky Allan is a
great entertainer! Influenced by all the great women in Jazz,
especially women musicians such as Diana Krall, Shirley Horn, Nina
Simone and Aretha Franklin, her vocal style is a blend of wholesome
Blues combined with soulful Jazz and more than a hint of R & B. Seven Bar. Pay What You Feel.
