Writing for Radio workshop with Michael Stewart.
Saturday 15 March, 12-3pm, University of Huddersfield, £10 (£5
conc).
England isn’t the best place to be if you are an aspiring
scriptwriter. Television used to be a hotbed of writing talent but these days
it rarely ventures from its staple of frocks, cops and docs. There is virtually
no film industry now to speak of. But writing for radio offers aspiring
scriptwriters real opportunities.
Michael Stewart won the BBC Alfred Bradley Bursary Award in 2003
and has been writing for radio ever since. This is an introductory workshop
looking into the art, business and craft of radio writing.
Limited numbers so please book early to avoid disappointment.
