Vacancies at New Writing North
As
New Writing North enters its 21st year of operation, we’re full of energy and
ideas for the future. We’re a small organisation with a dedicated, creative
team, based in Newcastle upon Tyne and working to support
writers and literature across the North of England.
An organisation is only as
strong as its people, and we look after our staff with training, flexible
working and a contributory pension scheme. You’ll be given responsibility and
encouraged to develop your skills from day one. We’re an open and friendly
bunch and we think New Writing North is a great place to work.
2017 marks a period of growth
for the organisation, with new business and projects. We’re now looking for
five new staff members to help us make the most of the current opportunities
and support our work into the future. We are also looking to appoint new
board trustees with specific skills and expertise.
We are an Equal Opportunities
employer and are committed to developing the profile of our staff and board
so that they better reflect the communities in which we work. People from
BAME and low socio-economic backgrounds are currently underrepresented in our
governance and workforce and we would like to encourage potential candidates
from those backgrounds.
