HLF2017 A Celebration of Jane Austen Sunday 5 March

Why not come and meet 'Mr Darcy' as a Valentine's Day gift?
 
3-5pm

Mechanics Hall, Peel Street, Marsden
Join ‘Mr Wickham’ and the Regency Rejigged dancers for a celebration of all things Austen, marking the bicentenary of the author’s death.

Dashing actor Adrian Lukis, who played villain Mr Wickham in the 1995 BBC TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (the one with Colin Firth and ‘that’ scene with the wet shirt) chats to local Jane Austen expert, Catherine Curzon.
Followed by a display of dances from Jane Austen’s era by Regency Rejigged.
Audience members are welcome to come in period dress.
Refreshments will be on sale to raise funds for the Friends of Marsden Library.
