Walks and Writing on the Stanza Trail August Bank Holiday weekend

Words and Walking

Saturday 24 – Monday 26 August 2013

 

Over bank holiday weekend, Words and Walking will be leading three walks for young people, aged 12 – 25, on and around the Stanza Stones Trail, accompanied by workshops with writers Katrina Naomi and Anna Turner. The walks will be of varying length, and you are welcome to join us for all of them or any one or two. If you want to come, please fill in the booking form attached . All the events are free of charge, but booking is essential.

 

Saturday 24 August

10am               Walk from Marsden to Snow Stone and back (approx. 5 miles)

1pm                 Lunch (provided)

2pm – 4pm      Writing workshop with Anna Turner

 

 

Sunday 25 August

10am               Walk from Todmorden to Rain Stone via Gaddings Dam (10-12 miles)

                        Bring a packed lunch and a notebook

4pm                 Finish at Hebden Bridge Station

 

 

Monday 26 August

10am – 12noon           Poetry workshop in Ilkley with Katrina Naomi

12noon                        Lunch (provided)

1pm – 3pm                  Walk to Beck Stone and back (3-4 miles)
